“Space and Journey” Exhibition

We’ve had a fantastic opening for Moulton’s first exhibition in China! “Space and Journey” has officially launched in Shanghai, and we’re delighted by the incredible response from visitors, customers, and the wider cycling community.

The exhibition explores the relationship between structure and movement, where space is the language of design, and the journey is the experience of riding. Through original models, sketches, and engineering milestones, visitors can discover how Dr Alex Moulton’s creations transcend transportation to become a unique fusion of design philosophy and ride experience.

The opening event included a keynote speech from Moulton CEO Adrian Williams, who reflected on the brand’s heritage, its engineering philosophy, and its vision for the future.

 A defining moment of the launch was the world premiere of the NS Rapide Moulton, unveiled by Adrian alongside Gary Hunt, Consul at the British Consulate General in Shanghai. The energy throughout the launch event was exceptional, with a fantastic turnout and an overwhelmingly positive reception from visitors experiencing Moulton Bicycles for the first time.

The Range
For the first time in China, the most comprehensive Moulton collection, showcasing the core Moulton DNA - Space Frame, Small Wheels, and Full Suspension. Demonstrating the evolutionary journey of the Moulton Bicycle from the late 1950s to today.

Rare Models & Original Design Sketches
Experimental prototypes, rare vintage models, and original notes and photographs of Dr Moulton’s from The Moulton Bicycle Company archive.

Vintage Mini Classic Car
A classic Mini with Dr Moulton’s original MINI suspension system, demonstrating the crossover of his engineering philosophy from automotive to bicycle design.

Global Debut: Moulton NS Rapide
The latest evolution in the Moulton story, the Moulton NS Rapide makes its world debut in Shanghai.
